“A New Frontier in Online Dating: Unleashing the Power of AI and Personal Challenge” presented by Evelina Parkere the co-founder of RiskMe.
We recently had the incredible opportunity to showcase our app on the main stage Baltic Business Technology Fair and Conference Riga Comm 2023. It was a thrilling experience as we discussed the pressing issues of today's dating world, such as the "lack of humanity," the "paradox of choice," and the influence of "gamification."
We highlighted these challenges and explained how RiskMe is poised to change the dating industry with technology, gamification, and solution for each problem.
Our presentation also included a detailed look at how the app functions, the technology and gamification methods we employ, and why RiskMe stands out in the market. We didn't stop there; we also shared our journey and the vision behind RiskMe with our engaged audience.
Following the presentation, we had the privilege of networking with industry experts and connecting with our audience. This event allowed us to spread the word about RiskMe and share our exciting vision for the future of dating. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make waves in the dating world!
Hello, I'm Evelina, co-founder of RiskMe. I never really fancied the whole dating app scene, but I had this guy friend who was all about it. He used to tell me these wild, almost unbelievable, and often terrible dating stories. One day, in the middle of one of his anecdotes, a quirky thought crossed my mind: 'What if finding a date was as easy as catching Pokémon in PokémonGo?' That was my lightbulb moment. It struck me that there had to be a way to 'catch' people's attention within a dating app, and that's how the concept of challenges was born.
The journey afterwards wasn't easy, I had the idea but no experience, no team, and no money. At that time, I probably looked a bit like a Barbie doll, with my long blond hair and all. I tried everything - reaching out to different developers, teams, venture capitalists, investors, anyone who could provide some guidance or support. I even took a shot at learning how to develop the app myself, but it all seemed to lead nowhere. I'll admit, there came a point where I felt like giving up, half a year has passed but there was no growth. All I needed was one person to believe me.
Sometimes, I'd receive invites to 'business breakfasts' on LinkedIn. To be honest, I went mostly for the free breakfast, without really expecting much. We had to introduce ourselves in a minute and then find someone we wanted to network with. One of the first people to speak was a guy who mentioned he was an app developer on the lookout for people with fresh ideas. I looked up at the ceiling and thought, 'Is this divine intervention?' I never thought he'd work with me, but I decided to give it a shot. We had just five minutes to talk, so I spilled my heart out about RiskMe. He didn't utter a word during my pitch, and when our time was up, he just looked at me and said, 'I can build this app.' That guy turned out to be my current business partner, Davis. Turns out he had an idea to make a dating app as well, but he was looking for someone who can cover marketing.
Since that day we have been a dynamic duo. If we don't know something, we learn it. We're driven, hardworking, and determined to get the name of RiskMe out there. Together, we're forging our path to success.
